Get the notifications you need.
You can – and will – get email updates about site activity that relates to you. If you want to change the default settings, you can do so in your Profile, in the Notifications page.
The Hub site pages are also rich with newsfeeds that you can use to make sure you get links to site updates as soon as they happen. For example the feed on the Activity page updates every time a member updates any page, post or topic.
